Ted was born outside of Boston, Massachusetts but moved to Florida when he was young. Ted grew up in Callahan, Florida, and graduated from Episcopal School of Jacksonville. He then travelled to Tennessee to attend college at The University of the South, Sewanee. He graduated with a double degree in History and Political Science before beginning law school. Ted graduated from law school at the University of Florida. In 1995, he was awarded the James F. Bailey Scholarship by the Jacksonville Bar Association. After graduation he began work at the Terrell Hogan firm in Jacksonville. Ted spent fifteen years at Terrell Hogan, litigating personal injury and wrongful death cases, before joining forces with his high school friend and teammate, Gene, to form Nichols & Pina.
For more than 25 years, Ted has litigated all forms of personal injury cases including automobile accidents, slip and fall incidents, medical malpractice, negligent security, and wrongful death. Ted works personally with each and every client to ensure they receive the best possible outcome in their case. When Ted is not in the office, he is with his family and an always growing number of cats. Ted's children range in age from their twenties to the youngest, Allison, who is 15. Ted is a member of San Jose Episcopal Church where he has served previously on the Vestry and chaired the Rector Search Committee. He also served as Chair of the San Jose Episcopal Day School Board of Trustees. Ted enjoys reading, fly-fishing, and watching the Gators and his favorite Boston sports teams.
