Ted is the first to tell you he was born in Boston, but moved to North Florida when he was young. He attended the Episcopal School of Jacksonville and after graduation he travelled to Tennessee to attend Sewanee University. Ted graduated Sewanee with Honors, focusing his studies on History. Following Sewanee, Ted married his high school sweetheart, Molly and began his law studies at the University of Florida. In 1995 Ted was awarded the James F. Bailey, Jr. Scholarship by the Jacksonville Bar Association. Ted earned his law degree, with Honors in 1996 and immediately began practicing law with the prestigious Jacksonville firm Terrell Hogan. Ted spent fifteen years with Terrell Hogan litigating personal injury and wrongful death cases. He has been involved in litigation across the country, fighting insurance companies and large corporations in order to assist his clients in the recovery of funds rightfully due to them.
Ted brought those litigation skills to Nichols and Pina where he continues to litigate all forms of personal injury and wrongful death cases. Ted handles automobile accidents, slip and fall incidents, wrongful death, negligent security, logging accidents and multiple other forms of catastrophic cases. He is well known for working first hand with each and every client to ensure they receive the justice they deserve. Please refer to our verdicts and settlements page for a detailed description of just a few of the cases Ted has handled for our firm.
When Ted is not in the office, he is with his wife Molly, their four children, and an always growing number of dogs and cats. Ted's children range from their early twenties to their youngest, Allison who is eight. He is a member of San Jose Episcopal Church where he has served on the vestry, chaired the Rector Search Committee, and served as a chair of the San Jose Episcopal Day School Board. He also serves as legal counsel for both the church and the school. Ted would admit to being a reasonably decent fisherman and a mediocre basketball and softball player. He is proud to cheer for all Boston sports teams, as well as the Gators and the Jags.
